Recommendation policy
Tise uses one recommender system, together with your stated preferences, to help you discover items and sellers that are relevant to you.
Our recommender system learns from how users interact with items on Tise to surface items you are likely to find interesting. The interactions we learn from include clicking on, liking and saving items. This model powers your “For You” feed, personalised search result ordering, and profile suggestions on the Discover tab.
We also use aggregated interaction data from all users to generate recommendations that are the same for everyone, such as “Similar items” shown below an item you are viewing and content shown in the Discover section below curated lists.
In your Settings, you can set your preferred gender, brands and sizes. These preferences are used as default filters in search and to boost certain items in your feed. You can change these at any time, and the changes take effect immediately.
In addition to personalisation, the following item-level properties influence how content is ranked:
Parameter | How it is used | Relative importance |
Country | Items are filtered to your country | High - determines availability |
Gender (stated or inferred) | Filters content by gender category | High - core relevance filter |
Size | Matches your stated size preferences | High - core relevance filter |
Brand | Matches your stated brand preferences | Medium - boosts preferred brands |
Category | Groups items logically | Medium - structural filter |
Creation date | Newer listings are given priority | Medium - freshness signal |
Recent likes | Items with more recent likes are boosted | Low–Medium - popularity signal |
Promoted listings | Sellers can pay for increased visibility | Clearly labelled when shown |
Title and description | Matched against search queries | High - determines search relevance |

Sellers can pay for increased visibility. Promoted listings are always clearly labelled as such.
How to change your recommendations
You can influence what Tise shows you by updating your preferences in Settings, interacting with items you like by clicking, liking or saving them, and using search filters to narrow results by category, size, brand, price and condition.
