Is my package insured?

Updated this week

Yes, your parcel is insured through the shipping provider! This means that Tise cannot pay out a compensation without direct confirmation from the shipping provider. As soon as the shipping company confirms the outcome of the case to us, we will start a compensation case.

When does the insurance start? 🤔

The shipping provider’s responsibility for a parcel begins when the shipment is registered as picked up or "sent" by the shipping company, and ends when the parcel is confirmed as delivered. This can either be in the mailbox, on the doorstep, or when the buyer picks up the parcel at the chosen pickup point.

How much do i get compensated, in a confirmed compensation case? 💰

If a parcel is confirmed lost or damaged during shipping, the seller will receive the payout that was agreed in the accepted offer, and the buyer will be refunded the amount of the bid including the shipping costs. The service fee for using the payment solution will not be refunded.

Why do i need to create a case at the shipping company? 💭

Transactions made through Tise are private between buyer and seller. Depending on the issue, either the buyer or the seller must contact the shipping company directly to open a case. Tise cannot issue compensation without direct confirmation from the shipping provider. A compensation process will start as soon as the shipping company has contacted Tise and confirmed the case.

When do i get the compensation? ⌛

If the buyer or seller has reported a case directly to the shipping provider and it is approved for compensation, Tise will contact both the buyer and seller via email and/or chat as soon as the confirmation has been received.

Note: Processing of compensation claims can take up to 4 weeks with the relevant shipping provider.

When using integrated shipping through Tise, the terms and conditions of the chosen shipping provider also apply. Please refer to the shipping provider’s guidelines for more information 💡
